Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a hybrid role at Stansted Airport. The successful candidate will support the delivery of multiple fit-out projects in a complex aviation environment. Responsibilities include managing contractor submissions, leading design management activities, and ensuring high-quality project delivery. Strong experience in similar roles is required. This contract position offers the opportunity for extension after the initial six months.

• Ability to manage contractor drawing submissions and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Support project delivery from design through to on-site implementation.
• Manage and coordinate contractor drawing submissions and SME reviews via Aconex.
• Track and ensure timely close-out of design comments and actions.
• Lead design management activities and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Review and respond to technical queries related to contractor designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maintain programme, quality, and safety standards.
• Support delivery in a live operational airport environment.

Project Engineer
Location: Stansted Airport (Hybrid - minimum 3 days on site)
Contract: 6 months (Possible extension) | Inside IR35

A globally recognised engineering, design, and project management consultancy is seeking an experienced Resident MEP Project Engineer to support the delivery of multiple fit-out and infrastructure projects at Stansted Airport. This is a contract opportunity within a complex, operational aviation environment, supporting both design and on-site execution phases.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and wider stakeholders to ensure high-quality project delivery across multiple workstreams.
