We’re seeking a Project Director or Senior Project Manager based in the UK to lead the delivery of a major data centre project with a respected main contractor. This is a high-profile role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution ensuring excellence in safety, quality, programme, and commercial performance.

Prior experience working for a Buildings Main Contractor delivering Data Projects as a Project Manager or Project Director is key.

The Role

As Project Director, you’ll provide strategic leadership and operational direction across the entire project lifecycle. You’ll coordinate design, construction, and commissioning teams, drive performance against key milestones, and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders. Your role is to ensure that every stage of delivery meets the highest standards expected of a mission‑critical facility.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and motivating multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring full alignment with project objectives.
  • Overseeing design coordination, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Maintaining rigorous control of programme, cost, safety, and quality.
  • Driving collaboration across supply chain and internal teams.
  • Identifying risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting performance to senior leadership and clients with clarity and accuracy.
