We are seeking aProject Director to join a leading specialist technical services provider, operating across the UK. This is a senior leadership role with a clear mandate: to grow and develop the project management division while successfully delivering mechanical, electrical, and building services projects for clients nationwide.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing team, shape strategy, and deliver complex, high-value projects within the facilities management and building maintenance sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the Project Management division, ensuring high standards of delivery, client satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of mechanical, electrical, and building services projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the businesss project portfolio.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to project managers and delivery teams.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a senior point of contact.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and timelines, ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and commercial growth.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business development initiatives and secure new project opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experienced senior project management professional with a proven track record of leading project teams or divisions.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering within building services.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects within facilities management or building maintenance portfolios.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent leadership and commercial skills.
  • Ability to travel into Manchester 23 days per week and to sites across the UK as required.
