Raytheon UK is looking for a dynamic and high-performing Project/Delivery Manager to work within Raytheon’s Cyber Centre. The work location could be either Manchester or Gloucester, with occasional travel to the other Raytheon site and/or customer sites.
As a Project/Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent project deliveries and overseeing an effective PMO function. The role involves ensuring successful project execution, managing risks and issues, and applying programmatic controls and techniques.
The successful candidate will lead the initiation, execution, and completion of projects in line with time, quality, and cost/profit targets. You will represent Raytheon to customers, suppliers, and management, requiring professionalism and credibility.
Main Duties:
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams to ensure clear communication and execution of goals.
- Apply and maintain effective project management practices according to Raytheon UK processes.
- Establish and maintain governance structures for work requests, estimations, proposals, forecasting, and reporting.
- Report progress regularly and as needed to stakeholders and management.
- Communicate project status and delivery metrics effectively using appropriate tools.
- Produce schedule performance metrics, including schedule variance, critical path analysis, and schedule performance analysis.
- Manage end-to-end software delivery with Agile principles and Scrum teams.
- Challenge existing practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide Agile coaching and Scrum best practices to teams.
- Interpret customer requirements and convert them into deliverable solutions, managing scope and expectations.
- Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
- Support PMO functions and improve delivery measurement and reporting.
- Collaborate with Finance to monitor budgets and analyze relevant data.
- Foster a trusting team environment where problems can be openly shared and addressed.
- Hold an existing DV security clearance.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Have experience working within software development teams applying Scrum and Agile principles.
- Possess knowledge of project management principles, risk management, MS Project, and Cost Management.
- Experience managing multiple projects in a controlled environment, using methods like PRINCE2.
- Understand PMO disciplines and techniques.
- Lead problem-solving across functional boundaries and develop corrective action plans.
- Exercise sound judgment on when to own, brief, or escalate issues.
- Rapidly assimilate information, culture, and processes.
- Hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
- Experience within the Cyber and Intelligence Community.
- Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
- Bid and Proposal Management experience.
- Knowledge of cost estimating.
- Membership in relevant engineering or project management professional institutions.
- Ability to guide and support planning at all team levels.
- Understanding of government information assurance policies and compliance requirements.
