A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated individual to support the Active Social Care project aimed at enhancing physical activity among individuals receiving care. The role involves collaboration with Adult Care providers to assess needs and deliver training focused on the benefits of physical activity. Candidates should possess a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or related field, alongside a strong enthusiasm and understanding of social care. This temporary position emphasizes partnership working for improved outcomes in social care delivery.
Post Ref: CC683. Internal at risk or redeployee applicants will be seen in the first instance. Calderdale Council’s Adult Services and Wellbeing are working in partnership with Active Calderdale to deliver a project promoting moving more and being active for people accessing social care. In recognition of the importance of partnership working, we plan to expand this project to include our adult care providers to achieve the best outcomes for people who are receiving care and support services. We recognise the importance to people’s wellbeing of including physical activities in care planning and delivery and want to support our care providers to achieve this. (Physical activities can involve many things, like going for a short walk, getting out of a chair unassisted to make a drink and chair- or bed-based movements.)
