Project Engineer – Civil Engineering (Residential Development)

📍 Chelmsford | Hybrid (2 days WFH)
💰 £45–55k + car + benefits

We’re seeking a Project Engineer with development-focused civil engineering experience to join our Design & Technical team. You'll support the engineering and infrastructure design for residential sites and oversee consultant outputs to ensure best value, compliance and buildability.

What you’ll do:

• Due diligence reviews, technical reports & constraint plans

• Prepare servicing, access, levels & drainage strategies

• Manage/oversee external consultant designs

• Coordinate S38/S104/S278 agreements

• Liaise with authorities to discharge planning/regs

• Prepare scopes for surveys and design work

What you’ll bring:

• HNC/HND+ in engineering + 5+ yrs experience

• Civil/structural consultancy or developer background

• Strong understanding of drainage, foundations & access

• Confident working with authorities/utilities

• AutoCAD skills; PDS/MicroDrainage desirable
