An up-and-coming architectural studio in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Project Architect to manage diverse design projects. With design at the forefront of their practice and a strong clientele within many project sectors, our client is looking to take on an experienced Project Architect. With anticipated projects being developed through the RIBA Work Stages 1 - 7, this studio will welcome challenges of many sizes across the board. This is the perfect chance for someone looking to lead on projects within a team of experienced architects, whilst developing long term working relationships with clients. Your day to day responsibility for client liaison and reporting is expected and if youre anticipating for the future, all architects are predicted to move up into a Senior position within the next few years, making it a great opening for those looking to elevate their careers.

Overall aspects of project design.
Brief taking and documentation.
Design team coordination.
Chairing and documenting design team meetings.
Attendance at (and running of where necessary) site meetings.
Assisting senior team members in the preparation of project programmes.
Client liaison on small commissions under guidance of team leader.
Representative the practice externally through client and consultant liaison.
Mentor for less experienced staff members.
Developing project and team leadership roles within the practice.
The ideal candidate will have:
Current registration with the ARB as an Architect.
Strong portfolio showcasing creative design and graphic skills.
Exceptional communication skills for effective teamwork.
Confidence in correspondence with clients and stakeholders.
Have efficient problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with SketchUp useful but not required.
Good drawing, design and presentation skills.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Knowledge of UK Planning Policy and Building Regulations essential.
