A local government authority in York is seeking a Mental Health Programme Manager to lead the development of their Mental Health programme. The ideal candidate will engage with various stakeholders to enhance mental health services and demonstrate exceptional communication and quality improvement skills. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the continued development of our Mental Health programme of work. This post will lead mental health transformation and quality improvement, working with the MH Senior Team, clinical leads, ICB leads, commissioners and providers to lead transformation of mental health pathways.
It is essential that the post holder is able to hit the ground running, have credibility within this field and an ability to engage quickly, driving the agenda forward and delivering at pace.
The successful candidate will have strong values, champion quality of care, have exceptional communication and quality improvement skills, be able to influence and encourage teams to work across organisational boundaries and hold patient care at the heart of their work.
As Mental Health Programme Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in leading transformation of mental health services.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level B1: Can exploit a wide range of simple language flexibly to express much of what they want. Can keep going comprehensibly, even though pausing for grammatical land lexical planning and repair is very evident, especially in longer stretches of free production.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
