Job Description

The PSL will play a key role in supporting the team's legal knowledge and client engagement strategy. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and analysing legal developments in UK and EU data protection law, as well as broader digital regulation (e.g. DMA, DSA, Data Act, AIA, NIS2)
  • Maintaining and updating precedents and know-how resources
  • Organising training sessions and maintaining internal knowledge banks
  • Supporting client-facing initiatives including seminars, publications, and bulletins
  • Collaborating with fee-earners, marketing, and BD teams on legal content and client updates
  • Exploring and supporting tech-driven solutions to improve team efficiency
  • Responding to internal queries and providing legal insight on current law and practice
  • Onboarding and training new trainees and associates on know-how tools and resources
  • Coordinating with PSLs across the firm globally to ensure alignment and best practice sharing
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong technical expertise in UK and EU data protection law
  • Experience or interest in adjacent areas of digital regulation (DMA, DSA, etc.)
  • Excellent legal drafting and communication skills
  • A client-focused mindset and ability to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance
  • Confidence using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Prior PSL experience is helpful but not essential; familiarity with knowledge functions in large firms is beneficial
