Job Outline

My client, who is a leading manufacturer of specialist electronic equipment, now seeks an experienced Production/Process Technician with a strong background in Electronics, to join their growing team based close to Nottingham.

The successful candidate will be a production technician with a strong background in electronics, who thrives on the challenge of optimising the practical manufacture of electronics and cable assemblies to internationally recognised standards.

Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for all aspects of product manufacture, from best practice for solder joints to determining and implementing any necessary in-process functional testing.
  • Support and maintain production equipment, in‑house tooling and test fixtures and conduct root cause analysis as well as implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve recurring production issues.
  • Provide training and technical support to production operators, and work with the design team to lead the transfer of new and custom products into production.
  • Define, prepare, audit and maintain production documentation including standard operating procedures, work instructions and control plans.
  • Support the collection and monitoring of process metrics (Yield, Scrap) and report to management.
