Team Leader – Poole

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 p.a

If you’re a practical Team Leader who likes being close to the work and keeping a production area running smoothly, this role will suit you. You’ll split your time between supporting the team on the tools and managing workflow, quality and daily priorities, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands‑on work and responsibility.

What the Team Leader will be doing
  • Leading a small group of operatives and making sure everyone is trained, supported and following the right methods.
  • Keeping an eye on on-time delivery, productivity, labour allocation and machine use.
  • Handling first-line problem solving and escalating issues early.
  • Maintaining 5S standards and general workplace organisation.
  • Supporting routine quality checks and ensuring procedures are followed.
  • Helping drive improvements, waste reduction and KPI performance.
What we’re looking for in a Team Leader
  • Experience leading people in a production or contract manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence with hands-on assembly or build work.
  • Knowledge of lean tools such as 5S, OEE or TPM.
  • A calm, fair communicator who can work well with operators, engineers and supervisors.
  • Someone organised, reliable and able to guide less-experienced team members.
