Overview

Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Walsall

Pay Rates: Starting from £18 - £20 per hour (Negotiable, dependent on experience)

Hours: 06:00 - 16:30 (flexibility required to work 11-12 hour shifts)

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and motivate small teams to ensure production targets are achieved, leading by example with a hands-on approach and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • The role covers multiple areas of the site, including butchery, packing, chilled, and frozen environments, where you7ll oversee day-to-day operations and keep everything running smoothly.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and compliance with SOPs and company policies; provide clear reporting and feedback to the Production Manager on progress, challenges, and team performance.
  • Take ownership of setting up and organising work areas to ensure production runs efficiently.
  • As a people leader, support, coach, and develop team members to get the best out of them while fostering a positive and productive working environment.
Qualifications
  • Proven supervisory experience in the food industry, ideally within the meat sector.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including extended shifts when required.
  • Resilient, hard-working, and comfortable in chilled and frozen environments.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to balance supervising and working as part of the team.
