Job description

Our client is a well established bespoke manufacturer looking to appoint a Production Supervisor for their fast paced production site. You need to be good at managing people and an excellent communicator, know how manufacturing lines work to ensure they are run at optimal efficiency, and have worked for a bespoke manufacturing business supplying in to demanding customers on short timescales. You'll need experience of working with wood, metal, plastics and textiles and final assembly into a high quality finished product.

The successful Production Supervisor will have previous experience of leading a team of operatives in production and warehousing to meet daily KPI's, preferably in an assembly manufacturing environment. Supplying in to large clients there are short lead times from a demanding customer base. This is predominantly a Monday to Friday days based position. Although the majority of staff are permanent at peak times your team may be strengthened with the addition of contract / agency staff. It would be beneficial for the Production Supervisor to have had previous experience of managing temporary staff with the issues this can bring up.
