Production Specialist – Oude Meer, Netherlands

The Production Specialist is responsible for ensuring products or services are produced in a timely and efficient manner while providing process and product support to a group of lab personnel within our production operations. The role involves completing tasks correctly, safely, and on schedule in support of department goals and objectives, validating physical and systematic processing of material, and performing tasks related to order processing.

This role will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring production lines run efficiently and effectively by troubleshooting problems, voicing areas of improvement, coaching others on processes and core values, and reporting recommendations to supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clarity while demonstrating excellence in approach to work and people activities
• Help raise awareness of day‑to‑day targets and responsibilities
• Help ensure achievement of production throughput against stated capacity targets
• Contributes in production to help achieve production needs and throughput
• Ability to translate and explain process and product manuals or checklists to others
• Assist leadership with continuous development and training of the technicians by identifying and providing feedback on knowledge gaps or areas of concern
• Perform quality checks on assigned product and tasks and ensure quality records are completed correctly
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems within specific department needs
• Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team
• Exercise initiative/judgement in work methods and in interpreting delegated work requirements/goals
• Helps in absorbing and providing feedback to develop methods and standards that can assist in improving repeatable processes
• Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems and identifying problems in advance to propose solutions
• Support the definition of processes, policies, business rules and procedures, and communicate the contexts in which the rules, processes and policies are applied
• Helps raise awareness to ensure that team members comply with established codes, regulations, standards, processes, and quality requirements

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in a related field
• Demonstrates a concern for accuracy and thoroughness so that sufficiently detailed information is logged correctly
• Demonstrates knowledge of the processes for ordering, shipping and warehousing materials to support production and satisfy demand
• Continuously seeks new ways of working to make processes run smoother and faster
