Overview

Production Shift Manager

Reports to: Production manager

Drive improvement in the production environment through strong analytics and attention to detail. Ensures that protocols are adhered to, performing verification checks, raising standards and ensuring that the Production and Quality teams work together in progressing the business. PM Shift: 2PM - 10:30PM

Responsibilities
  • Performing verification of the checks performed within the department.
  • Developing the current checking system, through experience and dynamic assessment.
  • The ability to analyse data, communicate findings effectively, to drive change and to ensure that standards are raised.
  • Working with your line manager and peers to ensure that progress is measured, and that you receive the necessary support in this role.
  • Ensure your team and area is maintaining a constant GMP environment.
Management
  • Day to day management of the team.
  • Ensure the achievement of KPI targets and drive improvements against KPIs
  • Act as a champion for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain training plans for individuals within your team
  • Supporting the Production Manager in building team effectiveness throughout the department.
  • Create a culture of Health & Safety awareness, good manufacturing practice, high quality standard, good housekeeping.
  • Proactively linking in with functions across the business, to ensure that relationships can be built cross-functionally.
Requirements
  • Excellent social skills: ability to build and be a great partner within the business.
  • Strong communication levels, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Solid I.T skills, including the use of standard I.T suites.
  • Solid team management skills.
  • Experience of continuous improvement using analytical data and driving change.
  • Working knowledge/experience of ISO standards such as 9001, 22716, (Cosmetics GMP) and FDA or equivalent regulatory requirements, would be desirable but are not a prerequisite.
