Job description

BBI exists to help our customers create advances that improve health and save lives. We are seeking a Production Scientist to join our team. This is a fixed-term, full-time position based at our site in Crumlin. Join our team: advancing health, together.

The Role

The Production Scientist is responsible for supporting the manufacture of products. This role involves the manufacture, batch record completion, equipment maintenance, adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure efficient production processes. This position involves working in both laboratory and production settings.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Manufacturing and Production: Carry out manufacturing tasks according to the production schedule and in compliance with Manufacturing Batch Records and Standard Operating Procedures.
  2. Operate relevant production equipment for use in the manufacture of product.
  3. Ensure completion of in-process testing and quality checks for manufactured products.
  4. Maintain accurate, up-to-date batch records and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry).
  • Experience in a production or laboratory environment, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of GMP and ISO13485 standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory and production equipment.
