A leading custom joinery company in Wales is seeking a Production Scheduler and Project Coordinator to oversee job scheduling and ensure efficient project execution. The ideal candidate will have experience with scheduling software like Smartsheet or Microsoft Project, and a background in joinery or cabinetmaking is preferred. You will coordinate with teams to keep projects on track and make a significant impact on operational efficiency. This role requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Joinery Co. creates high-quality custom joinery, cabinetry and full commercial or residential fitouts, with design, manufacturing and installation all under one roof. We work with architects, designers and developers to bring ideas to life. This role plays a key part in making that possible. You’ll help jobs move smoothly and efficiently by keeping the schedule clear, ensuring all project information is accurate, and keeping the team coordinated from start to finish.
You will manage the work schedule and keep it up to date so the team can plan their work with confidence. You will check that materials, drawings, and orders are ready and ensure the correct information reaches the right people. You will speak with the workshop, drafting team, and installers to keep everyone on the same page, and keep an eye on small issues so they can be sorted before they slow things down.
Scheduling Software: In-depth understanding and experience with scheduling packages such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
Industry Background: Experience in joinery, cabinetmaking, or construction administration is preferred, though fast learners with the right mindset will be considered.
Technical Understanding: The ability to read basic drawings and understand what each job needs before it reaches the workshop.
Administration: The ability to keep records, notes and updates neat, accurate and easy for others to follow.
Organised: You can organise work, follow clear steps and keep things in order.
Clear Communicator: You communicate clearly with the workshop, designers and installers so everyone stays aligned.
Adaptable: You stay calm when plans change and adjust the schedule to keep customers happy and the workshop productive.
Process-Driven: You follow processes closely and work to a clear routine.
Detail-Oriented: You pay attention to detail and take pride in getting things right the first time.
Our workshop is friendly and focused, and the team takes pride in building things that last. You will be part of a group that works together, shares information and wants every project to run smoothly. Your role creates that smooth path, and the team will value the difference you make.
