Overview

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £40-50k

We're looking for a Production Quality Engineer to support product and process compliance, working with the company quality management system, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 requirements/documentation.

The role is part of the UK quality team and aims to continuously improve operational yield through deployment of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) for assembly and test operations.

You'll likely spend 80% of time in production and 20% in the office, so you'll need to develop a good rapport with the shop floor production staff. It's estimated that you'll conduct 2-3 audits per month and initially the role will be reactive but becoming more proactive.

FAIRS/8D investigations will also be part of your remit.
