It offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to build a department from the ground up, establishing policies and procedures that align with the organisations ambitious growth goals.

As Production Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the production planning function, optimising processes, and driving efficiencies across the operation. This position will suit someone who thrives on creating structure, implementing best practice, and delivering measurable improvements in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules in line with customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Monitor and manage raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventories to meet production and sales requirements.
  • Analyse production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and identify solutions to optimise labour and machinery utilisation.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
  • Implement cost-control initiatives by reducing waste, streamlining processes, and improving resource allocation.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects (such as Lean or Six Sigma) to enhance production efficiency and output quality.
  • Provide regular performance reports and recommendations to senior management.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Production Planner, Production Scheduler, or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in production planning software or ERP systems.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, able to influence stakeholders across departments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies (desirable).
