Job summary

A multinational British specialty chemicals company is seeking a Production Operator for their plant in Brimsdown, Enfield. This role requires previous experience in chemical processing, where you'll assist in the preparation and storage of chemicals while adhering to health and safety procedures. Applicants must be non-smokers and able to handle manual tasks. Strong command of English is essential.

Overview

A multinational British speciality chemicals and sustainable tech company is looking for a Smelting production Operator to join their leading plant in Brimsdown, Enfield. Previous chemical/manufacturing experience is required. You must be a non-smoker for this role.

Duties
  • Assist with tasks in the preparation, processing and storage of various chemicals in a cautious manner according to all relevant Health and Safety procedures.
  • Support the operations team to ensure on-time delivery of quality product.
  • Perform higher levels of manual handling due to the nature of the processes.
  • Go up and down stairs routinely throughout the day.
  • Work in a dusty environment, wearing RPE at all times on the shop floor.
  • Accurately fill in paperwork and use computer systems (Traksys) to manage inventory.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within chemical processing or manufacturing is mandatory.
  • GCSE grade C (Single Award) or equivalent in Chemistry, Maths and English is a minimum requirement unless the candidate can argue that their experience has provided equivalent knowledge.
  • Good level of both written and verbal English to ensure a high quality of recording and following of procedures.
  • Must be a non-smoker due to the nature of chemicals handled at the plant.
  • Able to carry out manual tasks.
