Job description

Production Operatives (Electronics)

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Newport & Calbourne

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible working between 6.30am and 5pm)

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: initial 4 week trial, may then be extended to 12 weeks and potentially temp to perm for the right candidate.

Duties:

  • Electronic and mechanical assembly, using a variety of plastic components and connectors, printed circuit boards and cables.
  • May be required to solder.
  • Use of hand and small power tools.
  • Working to technical specifications, schedules and quality standards.
  • Adherence to health & safety.

Experience:

  • A good level of previous electronics assembly experience is required, soldering experience is an advantage.
  • Experience within the aerospace or automotive industries is preferred.
  • Experience of SMT an advantage.
  • Must have good attention to detail, manual dexterity and high-quality standards.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative, to instruction and timescales, as well as part of a team.

Salary: £12.21 per hour worked
