Job description
Immediate Start

Must be available for a few hours Monday 24th November 2025.

To start work on Tuesday 25th November 2025.

This role is working either days and nights on a shift pattern Monday to Thursday; shifts can change each week.

Shift times: 6.30 am to 2.30 pm and/or 10.30 pm to 6.30 am.

Role Overview

As a Production Operative you are a highly motivated team member, applying all safety and quality standards to support line teams in achieving goals. Your role is to ensure the smooth running of the production line by loading materials and maintaining health & safety, as well as housekeeping, at all times. You are responsible for the quality of the product produced on your line being Right First Time. You must follow the defined equipment operational standards and be trained and actively following all standard procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your own work. Support 100% defect elimination on time and zero housekeeping outages. Ensure clear understanding and compliance with all line and site quality procedures.
  • Follow material movement and usage standards, highlighting and fixing any issues before proceeding.
  • Operate packing line processes to maximise results.
  • Participate in changeovers and process product changes on line following defined standards.
  • Liaise with team leaders, engineering technicians and other colleagues to complete actions that improve line results.
  • Contribute to an effective team‑working environment by establishing and maintaining productive relationships.
  • Ensure effective communication with the oncoming shift at handover, completing any necessary job or task documentation accurately and legibly.
  • Provide feedback constructively and encourage each other to promote success.
  • Provide or take part in relevant formal or on‑the‑job training.
  • Identify and communicate your own personal training needs.
  • Effectively manage your time and resources to ensure work is completed with minimal loss and highlight any support needed.
  • Maintain effectiveness when working with changes to tasks or the working environment and highlight any support needed.
  • Work collaboratively with your team leader to support a fully staffed and capable packing department.
Skills and Behaviours Required
  • Demonstrate positive team behaviours by working with and motivating fellow team members towards common goals.
  • Support and be prepared to take daily direction from your team leader and process engineer whilst on shift.
  • Be prepared to flow to work when needed.
  • Using appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style, demonstrate a personal commitment to the team.

  • Ability to effectively work with a PC application (e.g., RTCIS).
  • Constructive feedback skills.
  • Good communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.
