Job description

Overview

The Best Connection are partnering with our client to recruit for Production Operatives for their Biggleswade site. The role is on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00-14:00 (week 1) and 14:00-22:00 (week 2), Monday-Friday.

Pay rate: £12.25 per hour rising to £13.67 after 12 weeks. Overtime is available (subject to availability) on weekends/bank holidays up to £24.50 per hour.

Role summary: The role involves producing mixes and batters from raw ingredients for other food manufacturers and restaurant chains.

Responsibilities

• Follow strict food hygiene and health and safety protocol at all times when operating the production equipment.
• Select, weigh and mix raw ingredients to menu specifications and operate machinery and equipment to ensure finished products are of the highest quality.
• Pick, Pack and label products ready for dispatch and assist with any other production duties as required.
• Complete any required safety checks and cleaning duties on shift, reporting any issues to management.
• Have an interest in working in Industrial Food production and work collaboratively with colleagues at all times.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Operate the production machinery safely and follow all health and safety protocol, following directions/instructions.
• Must be able to commute to the site in Biggleswade and commit to rotating shifts on an on-going/temp-to-perm basis.
• Carry out tasks that involve manual handling with some heavy lifting up to 25 kg on a daily basis.
• Assist in other areas of the production and warehouse to meet production targets.
