Overview

Shift Production Manager

£55,000 DOE

Our client is a leading manufacturing company with a target turnover of over £40M this year. They are on a mission to exceed their customers' demands and deliver high-quality bespoke products. Their manufacturing processes demand a responsive and flexible approach to planning.

As the Shift Production Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a 3-year strategic plan while overseeing day-to-day production operations. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will provide leadership, management, and direction to the Team Leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Your primary responsibility is to drive operational delivery and quality, ensuring production activities consistently meet performance targets and adhere to the highest standards.
• Ability to manage risk, present solutions, think outside the box with a can-do attitude.
• You will be accountable for Safety, Quality, People, and Cost (SQPC) throughout your shift and responsible for the overall site environment, including the facility infrastructure.
• Develop and implement detailed production schedules to meet customer demands and improve manufacturing efficiency while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.
• Work with procurement to ensure prompt availability of raw materials and components.
• Deliver and meet KPI targets.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Extensive manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies. Ability to find bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and enhance overall efficiency.
• People management experience.
• Systems and Software: Ability in using production planning software (MRP systems, ERP platforms).

Shifts & Benefits Package:

• Shift: 4 on 4 off - 2 days followed by 2 nights, 12hr shifts.
• Salary: £55,000 DOE
• Benefits: Pension 4% employer and 5% employee, 25 Days Holiday
