Production Manager - Chemical Manufacturing

We are recruiting on behalf of a major international chemical manufacturer for an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations at their Upper Tier COMAH site in Wolverhampton.

Role Summary

In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for driving safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing in a 24/7, 365-day environment. Reporting to the Site Director, you\'ll lead a dedicated operations team, promote a strong safety-first culture, and deliver on production, cost, and quality targets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the operations team to achieve safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing.
  • Ensure full compliance with COMAH, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver the manufacturing plan to customer and business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
  • Manage budgets, costs, and operational performance.
About You / Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in science/engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' leadership experience in chemical/process manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in Upper Tier COMAH or high-hazard environments.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
  • Skilled in driving safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
