Production Manager - Back Shift

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £50,000 + benefits

Hours: Back shift, 2:30pm - 11:00pm

A highly regarded food manufacturing business in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Production Manager for their back shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong operational leader in FMCG to drive performance, maintain high standards, and develop their teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manages the production area to ensure customer requirements, product specifications, and production targets are consistently met
  • Takes ownership of Health & Safety and Food Safety, fostering a safe, high‑performing culture and promoting FOOD behaviours
  • Drives quality, hygiene, and GMP standards, manages NPD processes, sets and monitors KPIs, implements performance improvement plans, and delivers labour and material targets on budget
  • Handles performance and people matters, leads training and development for all team levels, plans and organizes labour and materials
  • Manages internal communications, supports recruitment, and ensures compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and company policies, including ISO standards
