Job description
Introduction

DB Cargo UK is currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join our Asset Maintenance and Management department based at our Stoke Depo.

You will be leading and directing the Traction and Rolling Stock maintenance activities at our Stoke Depo and other DB Cargo sites across the UK, ensuring cost effectiveness and the repair of the fleet in accordance with laid down technical safety and quality standards.

What will you be doing?
  • Ensuring all material requirements are met and developing action plans to address any shortfalls.
  • Producing condition and production reports, reviewing specifications for new work.
  • Attending incidents and derailments as Recovery Supervisor/Incident Engineer and participating in inquiries.
  • Managing health and safety on the Depo, conducting safety tours and IPE’s, and updating staff on safety amendments.
  • Updating and ensuring staff competencies on CCMS and other systems, maintaining high standards.
  • Ensuring compliance of Plant and Equipment on site.
  • Updating and reviewing RA and SSOW periodically for compliance.
  • Maintaining high employee engagement through transformational leadership, managing disciplinary actions and grievances as needed.

  • Experience leading a large and diverse engineering maintenance facility with traction and rolling stock knowledge, maintaining safety and compliance.
  • IOSH qualified or equivalent.
  • Completed Accident Investigation Course and Personal Track Safety.
