Production Manager

Location: Cambridgeshire
Site-based (Day Shift) | Managing a multi-shift operation

We are supporting a confidential client in the chemical manufacturing sector with the appointment of a Production Manager. This is a newly created leadership role with responsibility for safe, compliant, and efficient production within a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will lead a multi-shift operation and play a key role in driving operational performance, people development, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline
  • Proven production management experience within chemical, pharma, or process manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of EHS, process safety, and regulatory environments (COMAH desirable)
  • Experience leading large, multi-shift teams
  • Continuous improvement / LEAN manufacturing experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
The Role
  • Lead day-to-day production across a 3-shift operation
  • Manage 6 direct reports with responsibility for ~50 indirect reports
  • Drive EHS, process safety, quality, and productivity performance
  • Deliver key KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as a visible leader during audits and inspections
  • Support site improvement and capital projects
