Production Line Leader

We are recruiting for Production Line Leader roles in the Chartham, Canterbury area. Please note: Due to the limited public transport options to the client's location, own transport is essential for this role. While the site can be reached via train to Canterbury and a bus to Chartham followed by a 20-minute walk, this is not practical for daily commuting.

Qualifications

• Good communication and leadership skills
• A good level of English (written and verbal)
• Good understanding of basic Maths
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• (Desirable) Previous experience in a similar role within the fruit or food production industry

Details

• Salary: Based on experience from £13.45 - £15.27 per hour
• Working Hours: shifts start at either 6:30 am or 7:00 am and are 12 hours long. Full‑time
• Location: Nickle Farm, Chartham, Canterbury, Kent. CT4 7PG
• Duration: Ongoing

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth and efficient running of the packing line, ensuring all Compliance, Health & Safety, and Hygiene rules are followed
• Set up and prepare the line, checking fruit, packaging, and labels meet job specifications
• Train and supervise packers, ensuring clear communication and adherence to quality standards
• Complete all paperwork accurately and report progress or issues to the Packhouse Manager
• Maintain line cleanliness and return unused packaging to the correct department
