Job Description

Monday - Friday, rotating 0600-1400 & 1400-2200

Key Responsibilities May Include:
  1. Lead by example within the assigned functional area, offering guidance and support to peers, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth production operations.
  2. Actively support production activities, stepping in during shifts or breaks to maintain workflow and operational continuity.
  3. Collaborate with plant administration to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, promoting consistency and operational compliance.
  4. Assist Plant leadership in enforcing policies and procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure operational efficiency.
  5. Act as the subject matter expert for specialized areas, such as forklift operations, pallet sorting, or repair lines, providing expertise and ensuring best practices are followed.
  6. Fulfill assigned production duties, ensuring quality and efficiency in line with plant performance goals.
  7. The primary purpose of the role is to support the Site Lead, promote continuous improvement in production, safety, and quality metrics, and provide leadership to operations teams on site.
  8. Build and maintain good relations with third-party management teams.
  9. Supervise, develop, and coach employees to build and maintain good relationships with third-party management teams.
  10. Drive continuous improvement via systemic change based on data and root cause analysis.
  11. Own and control all quality-related issues on their site/shift.
  12. Promote a zero-harm culture within the site/shift.
  13. Conduct tours in the 1-CHEP Management Observation Tool (MOT).
  14. Lead root cause analysis of all incidents that happen on shift.
  15. Share knowledge across business areas and adapt to new situations.
  16. Control yard and warehouse movements, delegating tasks to forklift drivers considering warehouse needs.
  17. Hold daily shift briefs and report plant KPIs.
  18. Monitor and ensure responses to zero harm and production KPIs are timely and effective.
  19. Manage safety, quality, and production controls.
  20. Assist in monitoring employee holidays and manage absence levels according to company procedures.
  21. Deputise for the Site Lead in their absence.
