Production Engineer required in Cheltenham, Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year, Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00, Office-based with some production floor interaction, full time permanent contract, Company training and development available.

Are you a problem-solver with a background in machining or engineering? We are looking for a Production Engineer to join a well-established engineering company in Cheltenham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you'll liaise with customers, solve production issues, and drive continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth production processes and high-quality outputs. You will work closely with both office teams and the shop floor, using your technical knowledge to solve issues, gain additional information, and monitor progress. Candidates with CNC or manual machining experience, including milling, turning, or gun drilling, will thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for production processes and resolve technical issues.
  • Liaise with customers to clarify requirements and gain additional information.
  • Monitor progress and ensure production schedules are met.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Apply knowledge of machining processes, including milling, turning, and gun drilling, to support production planning.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on production performance.
Candidate Requirements
  • Background in CNC or manual machining, with an understanding of milling, turning, or gun drilling.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with customers and internal teams.
  • Office-based experience, including reporting and progress tracking.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.
