Job summary

A global technology company is seeking a Production Engineer to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure product quality. This role involves problem-solving, collaboration with teams, and driving efficiency in production. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, and the ability to perform root cause analyses. Additional qualifications include process optimisation skills and good communication abilities. Free parking is offered, with work hours from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 4.30 pm on Friday.

Job description

An exciting company who develop technology for the Civil Aerospace, Defence, Space, Industrial, Medical and Scientific industries are looking to recruit a Production Engineer to provide support to manufacture. They are a global company who work on some of the highest profile projects in the world.

Duties:

  • Drive efficiency, optimise processes, and guarantee products meet stringent quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the product manufacturing cycle
  • Analyse production workflows, implement efficiency improvements, and reduce waste to increase overall productivity.
  • Maintain and improve quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • perform root cause analyses for defects, and implement corrective actions
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing team, Troubleshooting and resolving production issues to root cause
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and quality control protocols
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement

Experience:

  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or similar is essential
  • Must have extensive experience of Production/Manufacturing Engineering
  • Process optimisation, root cause analysis, and quality control methodologies. Such as 8D, 6 Sigma are essential
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Candidates must hold a British passport
  • Hours 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday finishing at 4.30pm on Friday.
