Overview

Product Manager - Digital & eCommerce (Technical Focus)

Liverpool - Full Time - Permanent

Competitive Salary dependant on experience

Harvey Nash is proud to be partnered with a fantastic organisation based in Liverpool City Centre, with further ambitious growth plans. We're looking for a technically-minded Product Manager to join a growing digital team.

This is an ideal step-up opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in eCommerce and digital product development, especially those with a good understanding of how websites, booking platforms, and digital systems work behind the scenes—including APIs, CMSs, hosting, and integration with back-end systems.

Working alongside development, UX, marketing and operations teams, you'll play a key role in helping to evolve and optimise our digital platforms—improving performance, conversion, and user experience across multiple customer journeys.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and would suit someone with product, project, or technical experience who is now looking to take ownership of digital products within a commercially successful, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Ownership & eCommerce Strategy
  • Support the development and execution of the digital product roadmap, focusing on booking platforms, customer portals, and websites.
  • Identify and prioritise features and improvements that drive engagement, conversion, and user satisfaction.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into clear technical briefs.
  • Technical Understanding & Platform Management
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to ensure smooth delivery of new features and platform improvements.
  • Understand key technical concepts such as website architecture, APIs, hosting infrastructure, CMS management, and third-party integrations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring the performance and security of digital platforms.
  • Optimisation & Analytics
  • Use data tools (e.g. Google Analytics, HotJar) to monitor performance and guide optimisation decisions.
  • Support the implementation of SEO and CRO best practices in partnership with marketing and technical teams.
  • Contribute to A/B testing and other methods to validate product changes and user experience enhancements.
  • Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work cross-functional with UX, design, marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure digital products meet user and business needs.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, tech partners, and internal developers to ensure timely delivery and platform stability.
  • Support agile or iterative delivery processes (training available if needed).
About You
  • Experience working in a digital product, eCommerce, or technical web environment.
  • Strong understanding of how websites and platforms function technically—you don’t need to code, but you can speak the language of developers.
  • Familiar with eCommerce platforms, CMSs, APIs, and data flows between systems (e.g. booking engines, CRM, payment gateways).
  • Able to analyse data and draw meaningful insights to inform product decisions.
  • Comfortable managing priorities, deadlines, and communicating across teams.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn more about digital product management in a growing business.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
  • Experience in property, hospitality, or other B2C sectors.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Next.js, React, or modern web frameworks.
  • Experience working with or alongside development teams in an agile environment.
  • Knowledge of basic SQL or debugging tools.
  • Interest in AI, personalisation, or automation technologies.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Company pension contribution
  • Gym access
  • Life assurance cover
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Modern office in the heart of Liverpool's business district
