Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to lead and drive the HSE agenda across their construction projects and offices. This senior role reports directly to the Construction Director and is pivotal in promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible culture.

Responsibilities
  • Advise on HSE legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Environmental Protection Act 1974.
  • Keep senior management informed of new regulations and developments.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor HSE systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct site, office, and sales centre inspections, audits, and accident/incident investigations.
  • Provide HSE reports to the Board and chair quarterly HSE review meetings.
  • Identify training needs and deliver briefings and refresher sessions for staff and managers.
  • Liaise with enforcement authorities and contribute to pre‑start site planning.
  • Promote sustainability and environmental initiatives.
  • Lead by example in safety practices and recommend immediate corrective actions when required.

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. Regular travel to Eurofins UK sites will be required.
