Job Description
  • Define and manage product roadmaps to meet market needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer requirements and emerging trends.
  • Create detailed product specifications and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
  • Monitor product performance and suggest improvements based on data insights.
  • Lead product launch activities, including marketing and sales enablement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product-related queries and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Define and own the product strategy, roadmap, and architectural direction in alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of data-intensive products—driving design, build, test, deployment, and iteration.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, engineering, data, and domain teams to ensure solution robustness and integration.
  • Translate technical trade-offs into business decisions; align with customer expectations on performance, latency, scalability, and cost.
  • Monitor and manage product financials: cost, ROI, pricing levers, and P&L impact.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior technical stakeholders and C-suite customers to gain buy-in and resolve trade-offs.
  • Lead turnaround or remediation efforts on underperforming or stalled transformation workstreams.
  • Navigate ambiguity, deal with high-profile escalations, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Mentor and grow cross-functional product and delivery teams.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in London Market processes, stakeholder dynamics and reinsurance/underwriting models.
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven track record designing and delivering complex data-led products in a financial services or insurance context.
  • Strong knowledge of Lloyd's / London Market practices, underwriting flows, claims, broker / insurer interactions, and governance structures.
  • Strong command of technical architecture (cloud, data platforms, APIs, microservices) and ability to reason about technical trade-offs.
  • Deep product management discipline: backlog prioritisation, user stories, metrics, OKRs, roadmap management.
  • Commercial acumen: ability to assess cost/benefit, pricing impact, customer value, and transformation ROI.
  • Gravitas and influence: able to engage C-level clients, senior technical leads, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Resilience: demonstrated ability to succeed in ambiguous, high-stakes, turnaround or transformation environments.
  • Emotional intelligence: ability to manage tension between business and technical stakeholders, read organisational dynamics, and adjust communication style.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal), presentation, and negotiation skills.
