Overview

Job Title: Product Developer

Location: Leicestershire (Hybrid - commutable from Leicester, Market Harborough, Rutland, Northamptonshire)

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Are you a creative and commercially minded Product Developer looking for your next opportunity? We are supporting a leading business within the homeware industry in their search for a talented individual to join their product team. This role is full time with the flexibility of hybrid working, however applicants must live within a commutable distance to Leicestershire.

Responsibilities
  • Create and develop product concepts and designs in line with market trends and customer needs
  • Use Adobe Illustrator to produce accurate design work and specifications for product development
  • Manage the critical path process to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure feasibility, cost effectiveness, and quality of designs
  • Support the wider product team with research, mood boards, and market analysis
  • Ensure that all product information is accurately recorded and maintained across systems
About You
  • Previous experience in a product design or development role, ideally within retail
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator skills with an eye for design and detail
  • Experience of managing critical path and product lifecycles
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance creativity and process management
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Candidates from other industries with design or product development backgrounds will also be considered, provided you bring retail experience
