A prominent charity organization in the UK is looking for a skilled Product Designer to join their Product Team on a full-time, fixed-term contract. Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Product Designer to join our Product Team, working from home. You will join us on full‑time, fixed‑term contract for 12 months, and in return, you will receive a salary ranging from £50,434 to £54,037 per annum.
Royal Voluntary Service is a historic charity that mobilises volunteers to support individuals, local communities and public health services across the UK.
We’re currently undergoing a significant digital transformation programme and as part of this work, we have launched GoVo, a cutting‑edge greenfield platform to ignite a volunteering revolution. This includes a design system specifically built by Royal Voluntary Service for GoVo.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Product Designer to help guide the design of this platform.
This is a highly collaborative role working in a cross‑functional team to help understand user problems, develop iterative design options, and test ideas extensively to make sure we understand and meet our user’s needs.
This role requires strong communication skills and problem‑solving abilities in addition to deep user understanding. This role will also work closely with the tech team and the rest of the product team to ensure a high‑quality user experience on GoVo.
Location : Home Based with National travel
Hours : 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
This is what we're looking for :
3+ years professional experience in UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing web and app‑based projects.
Carrying out 1 : 1 user interviews or group interviews to get rapid qualitative feedback
Being involved with the design of features at every stage of the development process
Creativity – Produces creative and original ideas and solutions. Likes to find and explore new ways of doing things. Comes up with alternative possibilities and options.
Drive and Determination – Is ambitious and determined to succeed. Readily accepts and very much enjoys a challenge and is motivated by having stretching objectives to meet. Is energetic and works hard in order to achieve results.

Planning and Organising – Thinks things through well in advance and maps out future activities and resources, taking the key stages, requirements and timescales into account. Likes to monitor to ensure that things are implemented and delivered effectively.
Quality Orientation – Pays attention, is precise, checks, and completes things. Focuses on getting things right and seeks to ensure that decisions and solutions minimise risk. Adheres to policy and standards.
Team Working – Enjoys participating in group activities and likes to work with other people. Is ready to collaborate with and support others and is willing to cooperate and compromise for the overall good.
Written and Oral Communication – Talks readily and confidently to groups and individuals. Often playing a leading and influential role in debate and discussion. Writes in a clear and concise manner using appropriate style and language for the reader.
