Job description
Permanent Vacancy – Procurement Manager

Location: Kettering (Hybrid working and some travel)

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £41,086 - 47,971 per annum DOE and Qualifications

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

You will implement the procurement strategy, advise on sourcing routes and frameworks, manage compliant tendering processes, and build strong supplier relationships. The role also involves monitoring procurement performance, driving savings, and supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage tendering processes under Public Contracts Regulations 2023
  • Advise on procurement routes, frameworks, and compliance
  • Maintain audit-ready records and ensure transparency
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships
  • Monitor procurement performance using data and KPIs
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on procurement policies and systems
  • Maintain the central contracts register and forward plan
About You
  • CIPS Level 5–6 (or working towards) or equivalent professional qualification
  • Proven experience in public sector procurement, including above-threshold tenders and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of procurement law, contract terms, and value for money principles
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
