Overview

Role: Process Operator

Location: Oswestry WTW

Rate: £400 per shift + Enhanced Overtime rates - LTD Company/Outside IR35

Duration: 9 Months

Sector: Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for process monitoring of the new plant
• Daily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals)
• Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch (inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc))
• Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagents
• Adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance
• Reporting to Advance Plus process commissioning engineer
• Consultation with client, suppliers and Advance Plus process team
• Regular meetings with UU re progress, performance, etc
• Daily logs
• Ordering of chemicals as required (including ferric, caustic, poly, reagents, cuvettes for sampling analyses)
• Taking deliveries of chemicals
• Assisting Advance Plus team with shutdowns, access, etc

Requirements

Able to demonstrate knowledge of the Wastewater assets and processes and be comfortable in an operational environment. The nature of this activity may be physically demanding and will require you to be flexible in your approach with a mixture of proactive and reactive work orders.
