Job description
ABOUT FLUERE – WHY CANDIDATES WILL LOVE WORKING THERE

Fluere Ltd doesn’t mean to brag… but it’s kind of a big deal. The company is on a mission to revolutionise manufacturing operations. Fluere isn’t just another consultancy – it’s a team of productivity wizards helping manufacturing businesses unlock efficiency, drive performance, and build high-performing factories.

For over 10 years, Fluere has worked with more than 50 manufacturing clients across Yorkshire, helping them grow, scale, and boost their profits. Now, the team is expanding – and that’s where the next Process Improvement Junior Consultant comes in.

  • The expertise is there
  • The proven methods are there
  • The accredited development pathway is there
  • They just need the right person to join them

Fluere works with its clients (not just for them), ensuring long-term, game-changing results – not quick fixes. The company is now looking for a Process Improvement Junior Consultant who can contribute to real change, deliver exceptional results, and grow with the business.

The mission? To increase sales by 50% year on year. To achieve this, Fluere needs to grow its consulting team – delivering high-quality, results-driven work for clients.

Most importantly, Fluere genuinely helps UK manufacturers increase profits, expand teams, and make more products – which means more customers, more revenue, and more success. And that feels so good.

Is this the single greatest junior consultant job in the world? Probably… maybe… that’s for candidates to decide!

WHO FLUERE IS LOOKING FOR

Fluere is searching for someone who is passionate about improving how things work. Someone curious, analytical, hands-on, and excited by solving problems and making improvements.

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a driven, energetic, and ambitious individual who thrives in dynamic, change-focused environments and wants to make a real difference in UK manufacturing. Anyone seeking a fast-paced role where they can grow their skills, work directly with clients, and contribute to real operational improvements will feel right at home.

Fluere needs someone who enjoys working with people, holds themselves to a high personal standard, is eager to learn through the development pathway, brings fresh thinking to real-world challenges, and is equally comfortable in a spreadsheet as on the shop floor.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Be a people person who genuinely enjoys conversations
  • Be organised, reliable, and hardworking – someone who gets things done
  • Have a strong interest in improving UK manufacturing
  • Love problem-solving, generating solutions, and seeing them implemented
  • Be proactive – offering ideas, not waiting for instructions
  • Be tech-savvy, including confidence with spreadsheets and Microsoft Teams
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally
  • Be excited to roll up their sleeves and dive into complex projects
  • Be ambitious and driven – someone who wants to grow and rise within Fluere

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for direction. The successful candidate will be hands-on from day one – learning fast, contributing to real projects, and delivering value for clients.

THE PACKAGE & PERKS
  • Salary: from £25,500 + performance-based bonus
  • Full-time: 37.5 hours, Monday–Friday
  • Holidays: 25 days + 1 Fluere Day at Christmas + bank holidays
  • Hybrid working: mix of office, home, and client sites
  • Company pension
  • Cycle-to-Work scheme
  • On-site parking
  • Official accreditation in process improvement via the LCS pathway
  • Huge growth potential – this role is just the beginning
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY

Fluere has been transforming businesses for over a decade, and now the next Process Improvement Junior Consultant will have the chance to shape what excellence looks like. They will bring new ideas, raise the bar, and progress through Fluere’s competency system, gaining real experience transforming UK manufacturers.

They won’t be doing it alone – the supportive and experienced team will provide all the tools, guidance, and resources needed to succeed and grow as the company scales.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES (AKA THE SUPERPOWERS)

This isn’t a typical junior role. There will be no endless tea-making or monotonous spreadsheet copying. Instead, the consultant will be at the heart of operational improvement, working hands-on with manufacturers to transform how their businesses run. Every day will be different, challenging, and full of opportunities to learn and make a measurable impact.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Shadow experienced consultants and build consulting skills on live projects
  • Learn and apply powerful tools to identify and solve problems
  • Get involved in real improvement work – not just theory
  • Build strong relationships with clients and teammates
  • Progress through a structured development pathway (including official LCS certification), with training, reading, coaching, and hands-on learning
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Dive into detail and understand how manufacturing operations truly work
  • Participate in client workshops, contribute ideas, and capture insights
  • Collect and analyse data to identify issues and opportunities
  • Support the redesign of processes and the implementation of improvements
  • Assist project managers in ensuring projects run smoothly
  • Contribute to reports, dashboards, and presentations
  • Support internal projects, systems, and occasionally business development activities
WHAT THE CANDIDATE BRINGS TO THE TABLE

Fluere wants more than someone who simply ticks boxes. The ideal person is a go-getter who will own the role and run with it.

Must-Haves:
  • A relevant degree (2:1 ideally) – engineering, manufacturing, business, maths, etc. However, strong practical skills and a passion for problem-solving are equally valued.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Confidence with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn – this is a growth role
  • Adaptability and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Willingness to travel across Yorkshire (full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle essential)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to reliably commute to or plan relocation to Leeds (LS19 6AX)
