Overview

We are recruiting for an established global engineering organisation that is seeking a Process Engineer to support major metals and heavy industry projects based in Sheffield.

This is a great opportunity to join a technically strong team delivering high-impact projects across steelmaking and metallurgical processing environments.

The Role

As a Process Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the design, optimisation and improvement of industrial processes across large-scale plant and production systems. You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, contributing to both new projects and ongoing operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process design, analysis and optimisation for metallurgical / metals processing systems
  • Supporting feasibility studies, process calculations and technical documentation
  • Working closely with project, mechanical, electrical and automation teams
  • Supporting commissioning, troubleshooting and performance improvement activities
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and industry standards
About You
  • Ideally Degree-qualified in Chemical, Process, Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in metals, steel, heavy engineering or large-scale industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of industrial process design and optimisation
  • Comfortable working in project-based and operational settings
  • Experience with Primetals technologies or steelmaking processes is highly advantageous
