About Us

The Roles

We’ve got a couple of new roles in the team, Associate Engineer and Engineer I, so we are looking for people with 3+ years experience.

So, if you’re a Pilot Plant Engineer with a background in biotechnology (ideally mammalian cell culture, but other experiences are welcome) have a read of the below and see if this is something you’d like to get involved with.

What You’ll Do

• You’ll help define and optimise our processes at bench and / or pilot scale, working on cutting-edge bioprocessing challenges, developing and optimising processes at bench (250ml–3L scale) or pilot scale (50-600L+).
• Support and be actively involved in pilot-scale operations and scale-up activities.
• Plan and execute complex experiments, documenting everything to a high standard.
• Transfer new technologies from R&D to pilot scale.
• Analyse data, prepare reports, and share insights with the team.
• Collaborate across R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing.
• Mentor team members and champion best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or similar (Master’s a plus).
• 3 years’ industry experience in process development.
• Hands‑on experience with bench‑scale reactors (pilot‑scale experience is a bonus).
• Knowledge of bioreactor control systems, PID loops, and process modes (batch, fed‑batch, perfusion).
• Strong data analysis and technical writing skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with systems like Eppendorf Dasbox or Applikon is a plus.
