Full‑Time, Permanent. Salary: £61,686 per annum rising in annual increments to £64,938 per annum.

About the Team:

The Private Sector Licensing and Enforcement team provides a frontline service to improve housing conditions within the private rented sector and bring properties up to standard. We support and advise private tenants, homeowners, and private landlords with the team working towards ensuring people renting privately live in decent houses and a place to call home. The team is dynamic, forward-thinking and plenty of opportunities for development and growth.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will oversee the private sector housing licensing and compliance regime, ensuring statutory and corporate needs around this statutory requirement are fulfilled. This will include leading on, and supporting the delivery of, related programme and policies around property licensing and compliance in Lambeth, as well as working with partners, senior managers and partner agencies in meeting statutory requirements and improving the private rented sector. You will have effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
