Role

An opportunity has arisen for an NQ to 2 years' PQE Private Client Solicitor to join a highly regarded independent Scottish law firm in their welcoming Glasgow office. This role offers the chance to become part of a close-knit, high-performing team with a reputation for delivering practical, high-quality advice across the full spectrum of private client matters.

You will manage a varied and interesting caseload involving complex estate planning, inheritance tax advice, trusts, wills, powers of attorney and executries. You will have the opportunity to handle client relationships early in your career and take ownership of matters, including drafting legal documents, assisting with guardianships and incapacity issues and providing succession planning advice.

The firm encourages a high degree of autonomy and career ownership, so if you are eager to carve out a specialism or grow a client base in a particular area of private client law, you'll be backed by a leadership team that actively supports long-term professional growth. This is a genuinely career-building opportunity with clear progression, meaningful responsibility, and a strong focus on work/life balance.

Your Experience

  • Confident communicator, able to explain complex matters clearly to clients
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent drafting and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a varied caseload effectively
  • Passionate about providing practical, people-focused legal advice
  • Eager to grow your career in a supportive and ambitious environment
  • Join a well-established and respected independent Scottish law firm
  • Work in a friendly, collaborative office with a strong client-focused culture
  • Exposure to complex and rewarding private client work, including HNW matters
  • Clear progression path and mentoring from senior lawyers
  • Entrepreneurial and flexible working environment
  • Excellent salary with a generous bonus structure
  • Comprehensive benefits package and strong work/life balance
