Overview
  • Manage a varied private client caseload, including wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, probate and estate administration and Court of Protection applications.
  • Advise clients on a range of private client matters.
  • Liaise with external bodies, including the Land Registry, HMCTS and HMRC.
  • Prepare estate accounts.
  • Ensure accurate, efficient and compliant case management.
  • Lead, develop and support the private client team.
  • Provide guidance, supervision and appropriate delegation of work.
  • Review work for accuracy compliance and quality.
  • Promote a collaborative, client‑focused team culture.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Encourage best practice and maintain high service standards across the department.
The Candidate
  • At least 5 years’ PQE in private client work.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload while leading a small team.
  • Excellent client care skills.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Strong IT skills; experience with case‑management systems advantageous.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
