Private Client Solicitor/Non-Contentious Probate Manager

A well-established law firm in Bromley currently seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor/non-Contentious Probate expert. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated legal professional to join a dynamic team renowned for delivering expert, personalised legal services across a broad range of sectors.

Role Overview

You will specialise in non-contentious probate work, offering expert advice on wills, trusts and estate administration. The role also includes supporting contentious probate matters when required. This position is ideal for a solicitor who thrives in a client facing environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality legal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate, timely legal advice on probate, trusts and estate planning
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with empathy and professionalism
  • Manage case files and client data using the firm's case management system
  • Respond promptly to client enquiries and ensure all documentation is complete
  • Meet billing and time-recording targets while maintaining financial control of own ledger
  • Conduct home visits and out-of-office appointments as needed
  • Participate in marketing, networking and business development activities
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, SRA Code of Conduct and internal protocols
Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales or Registered Legal Executive
  • Legal Practice Course completed
  • STEP qualification preferred but not essential

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in private client law or equivalent skillset
  • Exposure to Legal 500 environments preferred
  • Strong background in client care and legal service delivery

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Up-to-date expertise in wills, trusts and probate legislation
  • Excellent case management and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • Proven track record of meeting KPIs and financial targets
