Qualifications

• Valid NMC pin and completed preceptorship if newly qualified.
• At least 6 months’ experience as a Prison Nurse.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Up-to-date vaccinations/immunity records.
• Prison-cleared DBS check registered on the update service.
• CTC prison clearance.
• Mandatory training aligned with Skills for Health UK CSTF standards.
• Two clinical references covering at least a year.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor chronic conditions.
• Perform health screenings and manage medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Make appropriate treatment referrals.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams and correctional staff.
