Overview

The Supply Register, in partnership with Newcastle College (NCG), is recruiting a Print Room Technician to provide temporary cover. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled print professional with traditional print production knowledge and digital design skills to support the college. The role is varied and hands-on, ensuring the smooth running of print services for staff and students.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a range of print room equipment to produce high-quality printed materials.
  • Support staff and students with print requirements, ensuring jobs are completed to agreed deadlines.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite and other digital tools to prepare, edit, and manage artwork for print.
  • Maintain stock levels of paper, ink, and other consumables.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are followed within the print room.
  • Assist with other technical or administrative duties related to the role when required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience with traditional printing techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach when supporting staff and students.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
