Job description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Senior Electrical Engineer for a design role to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. Hybrid working is available, though office attendance will be required for principal engineers.

Location: Merseyside or Greater Manchester

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience and level

Working Arrangement: 36 hours per week, 4 or 5-day working week flexible

Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems, including circuitry and schematics, from RIBA Stage 2 onwards
  • Produce and review drawings, specifications, and calculations
  • Ensure designs comply with regulations, standards, and codes
  • Mentor and support junior engineers
  • Drive internal processes and continuous improvements
  • Attend site surveys and meetings as required
Requirements
  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience in an electrical design role
  • Proficient in Dialux, Electrical OM, Revit, AutoCAD, and Amtech
  • Strong understanding of electrical regulations, standards, and codes
  • Experience in mentoring or managing junior engineers
  • Ability to work on-site when required and collaborate effectively in an office environment
