About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Incorporated or Chartered Engineer to lead the delivery of environmental improvement, flood risk, pumping station and wider civil infrastructure projects. The role involves full project lifecycle management, technical leadership, team coordination and supporting innovation across multidisciplinary projects.

You will work with engineers, ecologists and geomorphologists on schemes that promote nature‑based solutions and climate resilience, including natural flood management. The position offers genuine scope for progression into team leadership or managerial roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • End‑to‑end project management including contracts, budgets, specifications, programmes, risks and change management.
  • Technical leadership of design processes to deliver sustainable and resilient engineering solutions.
  • Coordination of multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Championing innovation and promoting new methodologies, tools and best practice.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues and key stakeholders.
  • Leading Safety in Design and ensuring compliance with CDM and environmental legislation.
  • Supporting tender development and contributing to winning new work.
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Opportunities to support STEM outreach, attend conferences and collaborate with academic partners.
